Privacy Policy

About this policy and the developer

Mi Yodea? is a Hebrew trivia game for Apple TV, developed by Yaniv Ben Simon. This policy covers the game and yanivbensimon.online. You do not need to create an account with us to play.

Player profiles and game data

The game stores player names you choose, avatars, profile identifiers, scores, statistics, preferences and operational data needed for gameplay on your device. You can use a nickname instead of a real name. A game in progress is held in memory and is not preserved after the app is fully closed.

No advertising or data sharing for advertising

The app contains no advertising of any kind, whether our own or anyone else’s. We do not share your details or usage data for advertising, ad targeting or advertising tracking across apps and websites. We do not use this information to advertise for ourselves or for third parties, inside or outside the app.

iCloud synchronization

When iCloud is available, the game is designed to synchronize profiles, scores and statistics between devices using the same account, including deletions. Preferences and active games are not synchronized. You can play without iCloud using local storage. Cloud data is processed through Apple’s services; you do not provide your Apple Account password to us.

Usage measurement and game improvement

We use TelemetryDeck to understand how the game is used, identify difficulties and improve the experience. Events include screens opened, game mode, difficulty, player count, categories, game starts, completions, cancellations, duration and totals for correct answers, wrong answers and timeouts. Our custom analytics events do not include player names, profile identifiers, question or answer text, or free-form error messages.

Technical information added by analytics

The SDK adds device and app details such as model, operating system and game versions, language and region, time zone, screen resolution and system preferences such as accessibility settings. It also adds session and repeat-use metrics and a hashed identifier derived on tvOS from the device’s vendor identifier. TelemetryDeck states that it hashes the identifier again on its server and does not retain IP addresses. This identifier supports repeat-use analysis and is not a player name or an in-game profile identifier.

Your analytics choice

Usage measurement is enabled by default. Dismissing an information notice does not change that setting. Disabling analytics, where that control is available in your version of the game, applies to future transmissions and does not delete data already received. Available controls are shown in the game’s settings. Player profiles and game records are stored separately from usage analytics.

External services and purposes

Analytics data is sent to TelemetryDeck; synchronization data is sent to Apple’s iCloud services. Analytics is used to improve the game, not for targeted advertising or cross-app advertising tracking. The current website has no forms or analytics tools. App Store links lead to Apple’s service. External services may process information outside your country of residence, depending on their infrastructure and privacy terms.

Retention and deletion

Player profiles are retained to support ongoing play and accumulated game records, and can be deleted in the game. Technical records may be retained to synchronize deletions between devices. Deleting a profile does not delete analytics already sent. Analytics is retained for long-term trend analysis and game improvement without a fixed automatic deletion date. Support correspondence is retained to handle requests and follow-up, and deleted when no longer needed, subject to legal retention obligations. Deletion requests are handled to the extent that relevant data can be located and associated with the requester.

Website visits and support requests

This website serves content and files without registration, forms or TelemetryDeck measurement. When you visit the website, hosting infrastructure receives technical information needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address and request details. Technical logs, where retained, are used for operation and security. If you contact us by email, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to send to handle your request. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

Questions, rights and updates

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data or object to processing, subject to relevant conditions and our ability to identify the data concerned. For privacy questions and requests about your information, please email help.miyodea@gmail.com. We will update the policy date when this description changes. Using the game does not automatically constitute agreement to all future changes.
